A Little About Me
Dr. Marjorie Kinney, PhD
I was born and grew up in Wisconsin in the United States but have enjoyed living in Germany for the last 14 years. I was able to live in many beautiful cities in Germany (Münster, Freiburg, Würzburg) before my family and I settled in Tübingen in 2011. I have three children (born 2008, 2012, & 2016) as well as a wonderful dog. A few things that really make me happy are: a good book, a long hike in the forest with my family, hearing the birds sing in the evening, and my e-bike. And cheese. Lots of cheese.
I completed my training as a HypnoBirthing instructor at the HypnoBirthing Gesellschaft Europ - the European branch of HypnoBirthing International, the Mongan Method. I received further certification through the wonderful people at The Wise Hippo, a birthing program out of the United Kingdom. In addition, I am a mentor for parent-child secure attachments through the SAFE program (Safe Attachment Family Education). Last but not least, I have a doctorate in clinical psychology, with a focus on maternal mental health.
